NEED FOR URGENT REVIEW OF THE OUSTER CLAUSE IN SECTION 47(2) OF THE LAND USE ACT

Abstract

Land is the most treasured commodity from the ancient time throughout the world and is still highly valued in our today's world. In fact, man's whole existence and activities seem to be tied to land and its ownership which had resulted to lots of disputes among men. The ousting of the court’s jurisdiction as it pertains to prying into the adequacy of compensation upon a revocation or acquisition of land by the governor is most unfortunate. In this article, the writer is making a case for the urgent need to review the ouster clause in Section 47 (2) of the Land Use Act.
