Vol. 6 No. 1 (2025): THE NIGERIAN JOURNAL OF MEDICAL SOCIOLOGY

The Nigerian Journal of Medical Sociology is an annual peer-reviewed academic publication of the Medical Sociology Sub-Group, under the auspices of the Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Practitioners Association (NASA). The journal is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the interdisciplinary field of medical sociology, focusing on the complex relationships between society, health, illness, and healthcare systems. The journal promotes scholarly dialogue across a range of topics, including but not limited to: health disparities and inequalities, the sociology of mental health, traditional and alternative medicine, healthcare delivery systems, patient-provider interactions, medical ethics, public health interventions, and the impacts of globalization on health. Special emphasis is placed on studies that illuminate the lived experiences of individuals and communities navigating health challenges in Nigeria and the broader African continent.
