Abstract

This study examines the poem “Khudun mutafajjrah” by the poet Muhammad Tukur Al-Ghujee, aiming to highlight its artistic values in form and content, presenting the poet’s background and poetic style, followed by an analysis of the poem and an evaluation of its language, style, structure, musicality, ideas, imagination, emotions, and composition. The topic was chosen to trace literary production in Hausa-speaking regions written in Arabic, reflecting the breadth and influence of Arab culture. The study revealed that Adam Muhammad Tukur possesses poetic talent and refined aesthetic sensibilities, which enabled him to create this innovative poem, inspired by classical poets in their traditional openings on ruins, employing simple language to clearly express his emotions, and adhering to the Khalilian school in meter and rhyme. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the research highlighted the poem’s distinctive artistic features, its literary impact, and its aesthetic value in enriching national literary production and encouraging attention to local literary works.
