Abstract
The Glorious Qur'an, the divine scripture of Islam, was revealed in Arabic language, therefore, Muslims regard teaching and learning Arabic language as an act of worship, because it enhances understanding of Islamic precepts and creed. When learning a language outside of its native speakers organic environment, one may encounter some difficulties, especially aural-oral aspects of language learning whose concerns are the speaking and listening skills. This paper studies Oral Arabic in Federal College of Education, Abeokuta: Challenges and Solutions. It aims to shed lights on the difficulties faced by the learners of Arabic language when it comes to Oral aspects, and proposes solutions to the identified challenges. The significance of this study lies in identification of the challenges that hinder leaners' performance in Oral Arabic, as well as provision of useful tips to curb the challenges. The paper consists of an introduction, delineation of the concept of Oral Arabic, status of Oral Arabic in the selected college, challenges facing Oral Arabic in the college, solutions to the challenges, and conclusion, followed by references.
