Abstract

The paper THE PLACE OF SKILL ACQUISITION AND EMPLOYMENT examined the possible differences that skill acquisition can have on the issue of solving the unemployment problems that are bedeviling Nigeria at present. This is in view of the fact that employment creation which used to be championed by governments is no longer feasible. The paper noted the possible ways skill acquisition by individuals can help governments in providing employment for citizens. Recommendations were made as to how the combined efforts of governments and individuals can help in providing employment.
