Abstract

The study investigates psychology of Biafran-Nigerian war. The Biafran-Nigerian war is also called “THE BIAFRA GENOCIDE”, because the conducts of Nigeria in the war was absolutely a genocide/pogrom. The design was analytical. Secondary sources of data collection such as the media, journals, interview and other empirical work related to the study were used as the instruments of the study. The theory of learned helplessness was used to explain the implications of Biafran-Nigerian war, “THE BIAFRA GENOCIDE”, on the Nigerian society. The findings revealed that The Biafran war, “THE BIAFRA GENOCIDE”, led to huge loss of lives and properties. Presently, Biafra (the people of the Eastern region of Nigeria) are now more resolute than before to restore the Biafra nation. Recommendation is made for REFERENDUM for separate nation be granted to Biafra.
