Abstract

This study uses a questionnaire survey to find out how 160 foreign undergraduate students from the foreign Education College of a domestic university currently perceive Yellow River culture. The findings show that, with limited knowledge of Yellow River cultural symbols, international students' awareness of Yellow River culture is primarily at an early level. Their perception of Yellow River culture is mostly shaped by tangible items and cultural events. In order to improve Yellow River culture's reach and influence, the paper suggests a number of measures, such as bolstering the growth of official international social media platforms, motivating international students to share Yellow River cultural images via various forms of self-expression, incorporating Yellow River culture education into worldwide Chinese language instruction, and encouraging varied interpretations of Yellow River cultural symbols. These tactics seek to increase Yellow River culture's global dispersion and influence while also helping overseas students recognize and comprehend it better.
